About HoCAID

Horizon Community Initiative for Aid and Development (HoCAID) strengthens health systems, drives food security, champions climate resilience, and empowers communities to build lasting, self-determined futures.

Established in April 2026, HoCAID is a Nigerian organisation building its programme portfolio at the intersection of health, climate, and community development. Our approach centres on listening, collaboration, and systems designed for lasting local ownership.

PWD Cervical Cancer Awareness & HPV Vaccination

14 May 2026 · Ijebu Ode, Ogun State

HOCAID held a one-day HPV awareness and sensitization programme for Persons with Disabilities, preparing an often-underserved population for an upcoming HPV intensification exercise and ensuring girls with disabilities are not left behind in vaccination efforts.

Empowering Displaced Women Through Traditional Cap-Making

From 18 April 2026 · IDP Community, Borno State

HOCAID is equipping displaced women in an IDP community with traditional cap-making and local craft skills, strengthening their economic independence. Supported by YEF Fund, GY Mobilization, TAP4, SprutBud, and EU partners.

National Community Food Bank Launch — Ogun State

19 August 2026 · Makun Health Centre, Sagamu, Ogun State

HOCAID supported the commissioning of Nigeria's Zonal National Community Food Bank Programme at Sagamu, hosted by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. HOCAID mobilized 1,000 women from surrounding communities as beneficiaries, partnering with the Ogun State Government and Primary Health Care Development Board.
